LESER Safety Valves are designed to last up to 30 years. They can be repaired and adapted to changing operating conditions using original spare parts in a resource-saving manner. Goals

Ecological

 LESER aims to achieve CO2 neutrality in Scope* 1 and 2 by 2035 and CO2 neutrality in Scope 3 by 2050 at all locations. LESER continuously reduces resource consumption, promotes reusability, and substitutes resources where possible by using secondary (recycled) or (environmentally and human-friendly) materials.
• Reduce absolute CO2 emissions in Scope 1 (gas, heating oil, and fuel consumption of the LESER vehicle fleet) by 5% compared to the previous year.
 • Reduce absolute Scope 2 CO2 emissions (electricity and district heating consumption) by 10% compared to the 2023/24 fiscal year.
• Achieve an annual energy efficiency improvement of 2% (for production sites)
• Reduction of paper consumption and plastic waste relative to the mass of valves produced by 10% each compared to the 2023/24 fiscal year. 

Social issues

LESER is continuously improving occupational health and safety. LESER is committed to contributing to sustainability through conduct that aligns with the LESER Code of Conduct: economically efficient, socially just, and environmentally sound.
 • Reduce the accident frequency rate by 5% compared to fiscal year 2023/24.
 • Reduce the accident severity rate by 20% compared to fiscal year 2023/24. 
 • Implement preventive health measures to improve the health rate.
• Increase the proportion of employees trained in the LESER Code of Conduct within the global organization to 85%

External sustainability initiative

In order to check the effectiveness of the measures implemented, LESER carries out an external sustainability assessment by the provider EcoVadis. EcoVadis is the world's largest provider of sustainability assessments for companies and has a global network of more than 100,000 assessed companies. As part of the EcoVadis assessment, LESER is evaluated in the four areas of environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. LESER received a silver medal for good sustainability performance in the last assessment.
