Future-proof 6-axis technology at LESER
Another goal for 2025 was to increase production capacity in cast machining and establish cost-effective, reliable in-house manufacturing. This enables LESER to ensure stable lead times and long-term competitiveness. The goal was achieved through the successful commissioning of an additional machining center from Starrag Heckert and the expansion of the LIEBHERR automated pallet storage system to a total of 120 slots.
The HEC800 X5 DBF machining center makes complete valve bodies using 6-axis technology for body sizes from DN150 to DN400. The fully automated pallet storage system keeps the machines supplied with raw parts, forming the logistical backbone of cast machining. Thanks to its modular design, it can be expanded further in the future, or be retrofitted with new components.
